PHOENIX (Nov. 11, 2021) – Transact, the leader in innovative credential and payment solutions for a connected campus, today announced Rasheed Behrooznia has been named Vice President for Campus ID Solutions. Mr. Behrooznia, who joined Transact in 2020, brings more than 20 years of engineering and technology and product development experience to the role.
In his new role, Mr. Behrooznia will drive the vision, strategy, and execution for the company’s suite of Campus ID solutions that enable secure, mobile-centric campus environments and effortless, campus-wide transactions and access privileges.
Transact’s physical and mobile IDs are used for everything from door access to event tickets, meal plans, printing, vending machines, class attendance tracking, bookstore purchases, and more. The company’s Campus ID solutions are highly configurable and supported by robust integrations with institutions’ critical ERP, financial, and building security systems.

Most recently, Mr. Behrooznia served as Transact’s global head of campus ID solutions, leading the company’s development of SaaS solutions, mobile credential, and many other solutions that span the campus ecosystem. Prior to joining Transact, he served as vice president of global product delivery at Cubic Transportation Systems, where he was responsible for a multi-million dollar product portfolio of payment technologies, enterprise software, integrated devices, mobile applications, and open APIs. In his new role, Mr. Behrooznia will expand his focus on growing Transact’s campus ID solutions business and partnerships, and on delivering the company’s world-class solutions to its clients.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Behrooznia was an engineering manager at Lockheed Martin, managing a team of multi-disciplinary engineers, and he was a software engineer for the Central Intelligence Agency.
Mr. Behrooznia earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of San Diego, and a Master of Science degree in systems engineering from George Washington University.
